I. Mississippi Radio Direction Finding Membership

The Mississippi Radio Direction Finding Association is an informal organization of Amateur Radio Operators in Mississippi who enjoy learning, improving, testing, playing games with, and putting to good use Radio Direction Finding and related skills.

Our goal is to offer the finest and funnest Radio Direction Finding events in Mississippi, and to offer them completely FREE of charge. It is also our goal to eventually host officially sanctioned International Style ARDF events in Mississippi. Sanctioned ARDF events require a lot of specific and expensive equipment in order to run them in accordance with International ARDF Rules. To meet these goals, rather than charge event fees, we rely solely upon the donations of generous benefactors for everything we need.

So if you enjoy your hunting experience, please consider helping us improve it by making a donation. We accept cash donations at all of our events (no checks please). Additionally, if you would like to purchase and donate a specific piece of equipment that we need, please see our Equipment Needs Check List.

Additionally, we offer annual memberships in Mississippi Radio Direction Finding, and use 100% of the funds generated to purchase the above mentioned equipment. Our members receive participation points toward a number special certificates, and can track their Radio Direction Finding statistics on our website.

II. Membership Awards & Certificates

Members of the Mississippi Radio Direction Finding Association receive points for participation in our hunts and events. As these points add up, members receive frameable certificates commemorating their accomplishments, as well as year end awards at our Christmas Banquets (which itself is a four course Progressive Dinner (appetizers, soup & salad, entree, desserts) which requires direction finding skills to find the location of each of these four courses.

Participation Points: 1 point for participation in each MSRDF Hunt or Event
Rank Points: 1 point for each person below you in Time Ranking in a Hunt, 1 point for each person below you in Efficiency Ranking in a Hunt
Service Points: 1 point for each person participating in each event you work

All participants receive a First MSRDF Hunt certificate the first time they participate in a Mississippi Radio Direction Finding event.
